We are a Washington DC "Beltway" based book club with members all around the Beltway.
We have members in Virginia, DC, and Maryland.

| The Book Club got its original name of "Lost on the Beltway Apple Dippers Book Club" from the fact that we (members) were always getting lost, stuck in traffic, or making wild detours to get to each others homes. But the love of the books (and sometimes the need to vent out a book) always kept us going! Once we got to the meeting, the hostess always had Apples and apple dip . This had become our standard. So, we had our name! Eventually,we all became more accomplished in getting to each others homes and learned multiple detours just in caseof beltway traffic. But occasionally, we still have someone that will get lost! We have since shortened the name since no one really has to use their directions to find the hostess's home anymore. Besides, it is much easier to say now! |
